If you are spending your holidays in Les 2 Alpes, you should know that this ski resort is located in Isère, 64 km south-east of Grenoble, in the massif de l'Oisans, at 1650 m in altitude (3600 m at the top of the pistes), twenty kilometres or so above Bourg-d'Oisans. The resort is made up of two parts: les 2 Alpes 1650, with its boutiques that run along the main artery, and Les 2 Alpes 1800, a pedestrian area at the foot of the pistes.
Its particularity is that it has one of the biggest skiable glaciers in Europe and was one of the first resorts created in France, just after Chamonix, in the 50's. Les 2 Alpes has a vast skiable domain, surrounded by high peaks, such as la Meije, la Muzelle or les Ecrins.
The skiable domain of Les 2 Alpes offers 2250 km of alpine skiing pistes de ski of all levels, as well as 25 km of cross-country pistes, including 20 at Venosc village, at 900 m in altitude. The resort also has a snow park and slide zones.
During your holidays in Les 2 Alpes, you can also visit the ice grotto, dug out of the summit of the Jandry express at 3200 m in altitude. There are 100 m of galleries. You can also embark upon the white cruise to discover the immense skiable glacier on board a minibus with caterpillar tracks!
For your holidays in Les 2 Alpes, the equipment and events will compete with one another, to distract you, your family and friends. You can opt for a walk in snowshoes or on a sled pulled by a horse, use a snowmobile, do some paragliding or just have fun on the open air ice-skating rink.
Once you have finished your day, you can relax in one of the 30 bars and pubs in the resort, or have dinner in a restaurant typical of the area. The resort also has a Michelin star restaurant. Cinema, bowling and nightclubs will keep you busy.
