Located between Le Lautaret and Briançon, in a vast sunny valley with extraordinary snow cover, Serre Chevalier was created by an association of authentic villages and hamlets that have been wonderfully preserved, the largest of which are Villeneuve, Chantemerle and Monêtier-les-Bains. With its Olympic slope, it offers exceptional skiing and allows advanced skiers the chance to cover 6,000m of altitude in a single day. "Serre Che", as regulars call it, is a dream destination for cross-country skiers and snowshoers.
