Why take out insurance if you offer a COVID refund?

The refund guarantee applies if, due to health-related lockdowns, you cannot leave your residence or we cannot accommodate you. This guarantee is automatic: you don't need to do anything at the time of booking.

Insurance is an option you must choose when booking. It allows you to be reimbursed if you request it, as long as the cancellation conditions outlined in the policy are met (excluding the insurance premium).
Vac'Assur covers you both BEFORE your trip (in case of cancellation) and DURING your stay (accident, repatriation, activity interruption, etc.).

What is the cost of the insurance?

Vac'Assur will cost you approximately 4 to 5% of the total price of your stay. All rates and conditions are available below.

If I decide to take out the insurance, do all participants need to be insured?

Yes, all participants must make the same choice, whether you decide to take out the insurance or not.

Can I take out insurance after booking the trip?

No, insurance must be taken out at the time of booking.

VACASSUR, MMV INSURANCE BY ASSURINCO & MUTUAIDE ASSISTANCE

The rates listed below are for VACASSUR and apply to all participants registered on the reservation file. These rates fluctuate depending on the price bracket in which the booking amount falls. In the case of adding additional services after booking, the insurance price will be adjusted accordingly based on the new total trip cost.

WHAT TO DO IF YOU HAVE TO CANCEL YOUR TRIP

You or a family member must notify MMV as soon as possible of your cancellation once the insured event preventing your departure occurs.
After notifying MMV, you must file a claim with the insurance company within 5 business days from the date of the incident.

NEED ASSISTANCE DURING YOUR STAY

To benefit from the coverage (personal assistance, medical expenses, replacement driver, search & rescue costs, death assistance, legal assistance), you must immediately contact or have a third party contact the insurance company (available at 01 55 98 88 21, 7/7 days, 24/24 h) and provide your insurance policy number, as soon as your situation suggests expenses covered by the policy. Please note, without a prior call, your medical file cannot be processed.

YOU HAVE INTERRUPTED YOUR ACTIVITIES OR YOUR STAY

If an insured event occurs, you will be reimbursed for non-used land services (accommodation/activities already paid for, excluding transportation) on a pro-rata basis.
PLEASE NOTE that services not pre-approved by the insurance company or not organized by the insurance company will not be eligible for any refund or compensation. --> PLEASE NOTE that services not booked through MMV will not be eligible for any refund or compensation from the insurance company.

RIGHT OF WITHDRAWAL

Please note that activities related to the organization and sale of trips or stays on specific dates are not subject to the 7-day withdrawal period applicable to distance selling.
