In La Plagne, it’s smooth sailing for you

In summer, La Plagne keeps its grand scenery, transforms into a green adventure playground, and shifts into alpine pastures and panoramic viewpoints mode: limestone cliffs, sunlit forests, lakes, and trails that start… right from the center. You breathe deeply, take your time, and alternate between effort and contemplation.

At the top, Live 3000 (3,080 m) remains a must-see: accessible to pedestrians, with breathtaking views, the “Sixième Ciel” café, and a terrace facing the glaciers. Looking for a “one-of-a-kind” thrill? Aérolive carries you in an open cabin (harness, open floor, 30-minute experience) from Roche de Mio—fresh air, quite literally.

And what else is summer here about? Mountain biking, bike park, mountain karting, via ferrata, high-altitude hikes, and Lake La Plagne (2,144 m, on the Vanoise side) for a laid-back nature break. Trails wind between fir trees and ridgelines, all-terrain scooters deliver their share of thrills, and paragliders float effortlessly overhead. And if the weather plays hide-and-seek, Espace Paradisio (pools & wellness) takes care of the reset.

As for the atmosphere, La Plagne keeps its eclectic charm: Aime 2000 and Belle Plagne offer stunning panoramas and modern comfort facing the peaks, while Plagne Centre remains the lively, welcoming heart of the resort. Nearby, Montchavin–Les Coches and Montalbert cultivate a more authentic alpine feel. Everywhere, it’s the same pleasure: strolling, sharing a drink, soaking up the sun—or the quiet from a balcony.

La Plagne in summer is a creative, radiant mountain destination, balancing grand spectacle with a gentle way of life. You move, you wander, and you savor a different kind of mountain one that rivals winter in every way.
