Les Sybelles is one of those ski areas that doesn’t announce its size at the first turn, but sets the pace once you start skiing. Linking six massifs between 1,100 m and 2,620 m, it offers generous space where each descent naturally leads to the next. All sectors are interconnected ski-in/ski-out, giving a true sense of continuous skiing, without artificial breaks. This domain may not have the media fame of some Alpine giants, and that’s part of its charm. It’s discovered calmly, run by run, with the surrounding panoramas gradually unfolding: the Aiguilles d’Arves, the Belledonne range, and occasionally the distant Mont Blanc on the horizon.
At Les Sybelles, the size of the area isn’t meant to impress—it’s meant to be experienced. Connecting six massifs (Toussuire, Corbier, Saint-Jean-d’Arves, Saint-Sorlin-d’Arves, Bottières, Saint-Colomban-des-Villards), the resort offers generous, fluid terrain where each run naturally leads to the next. All sectors are linked ski-in/ski-out, without artificial interruptions, and the layout remains easy to navigate even at this scale. Here, you don’t endure the vastness—you explore it. Move from one sector to another, change slopes, light, or scenery, all with the pleasant feeling that the skiing carries you forward. A large domain, yes—but welcoming, readable, and never intimidating.
A size that is felt, not flaunted
With around 310 km of varied runs, Les Sybelles is among the largest linked ski areas in France, yet it never sacrifices fluidity. The geography encourages movement, exploration, and gradual discovery. You cross valleys, switch slopes, vary landscapes without repeating the same lines, giving the sense of “exploring” rather than “repeating.”
Skiing for every rhythm
The runs are designed to match your progression without smoothing out the experience. Wide, flowing sections for effortless skiing; more rhythmic passages requiring slightly more focus; steeper stretches where the terrain allows. The area is neither uniform nor rigid—it adapts to your pace.
Geography that encourages variety
Les Sybelles connects six Maurienne resorts around the Ouillon. On skis, this means you can shift from sunny slopes to gentler runs, glide along panoramic ridges, and then return to softer terrain. The domain is vast but never confusing.
Learn and build confidence
Wide, even runs make it easy to repeat movements, push your limits, and play with speed. You progress naturally, in real skiing conditions.
Vary your sensations
Intermediate and advanced skiers alike will find a range of runs that give each descent its own character. These are the days where you forget the kilometers and remember only the feeling of the slopes.
Challenge yourself with more committed skiing
Certain Maurienne slopes offer steeper sections. Nothing extreme, but enough to work on technique and ski attentively, while staying on marked trails.
Without ever leaving the slopes, Les Sybelles offers multiple ways to vary the rhythm of the day:
