When we talk about XXL skiing, we mean it. L’Alpe d’Huez stretches from the village up to over 3,300 m at the Pic Blanc, with a generous ski area of around 250 km of interconnected slopes. Turns follow one another, from gentle forest runs to demanding black descents with serious vertical drop. Among the most iconic is the Sarenne piste, a legendary black run stretching 16 km and known as the longest in Europe.
For lovers of wide-open spaces, the resort’s architecture plays with altitude and light, offering a spectacular high-alpine immersion. A few figures speak for themselves: a vertical drop of up to 2,200 m.
But L’Alpe d’Huez is not just about performance: it is also about comfort, modernity, and scenery. Linked resort villages (Auris, Oz, Vaujany…), extensive services, ski-in/ski-out access for most areas, and a wide variety of atmospheres… the mountains open their arms wide. You go high, you descend far, and you leave with both breathless lungs and lasting memories. L’Alpe d’Huez: winter in full-scale adventure mode, with a wide smile.
